Dependent Tuition Waivers for Undergraduate Students are available to children of full-time employees of the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC), the University of Mississippi Main Campus or Satellite Centers (Ole Miss), and the IHL Executive Office.

How to apply
- Open and log into Workday in an Internet browser
- Type “Create Request” in the Workday search bar
- Select “Dependent Tuition Waivers for Undergraduate Students”
- Complete the application
The following documentation may be required:
- For a dependent child of the employee: a certified copy of the birth certificate
- For a dependent step-child of the employee: a certified copy of the birth certificate and a certified copy of the parental marriage license
- For a dependent child whose legal guardian is an employee: a certified copy of the court order
- For a dependent child, stepchild, or legal guardian of a deceased employee: a certified copy of the birth certificate, a certified copy of the parental marriage license, a certified copy of the court order, and a certified copy of the death certificate.
Waiver timeline
Application deadlines for the Dependent Undergraduate Tuition Waivers are referenced in the Dependent Undergraduate Tuition Waivers and Graduate and Professional Scholarships for Children of Employee policy. Students must apply prior to each semester or term (i.e., the start date of the academic period according to each school's Academic Calendar listed in the UMMC Bulletin).
Once the application is received, it is routed and shared with the Office of Student Accounting for review.
Approved Dependent Tuition Waivers for Undergraduate Students will be applied to the student account after the 15-day drop date (according to each school's Academic Calendar listed in the UMMC Bulletin). Please allow 2-3 weeks for the approved waiver to be applied and posted to the student account.
